150 Baguettes - what a Custom Order!
Yep - a tall order it was too!
A lovely lady from Paris needed 150 baguettes - half of them baked and half 'raw' in appearance. I started making them as soon as I got over my jet-lag after landing in England from LA. Took a few snaps for people's interest. :)
If you're ever interested in buying from me in bulk then be sure to drop me an email (contact info is here) and I'll be happy to oblige. I offer hefty discounts to people buying in bulk. :)
Here's my bread, and more bread, and more bread....

Oy! Now that is a LOT of bread!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Caroline! May your New Year be bright and happy and all you wish!
Yep! Took days! Quite exhausting but very worth it. She wrote me today to say she loves it. Funny thing is - I offered her free postage and then when I went to FedEx with it they charged me $80 to send it from the UK to Paris!! I never told her of course, but my mouth did drop to the floor!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Christmas wishes. You have a wonderful Christmas too hon. Mini hugs, C xx
80$!? That's crazy. You could have flown there by yourself for that price. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she loves them. They look great.

It looks like a real bakery....

Thanks all!
ReplyDeleteChristine - I know! It costs $50 to take the train from London to Paris (but not at this time of year as prices go way up) so I was a bit shocked! It all worked out though. :) C x
Me encanta!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and a happy new year!!
