Fun on the 4th!

Last Friday was Independence Day in America and so I hope all my American friends had a lot of fun celebrating it! I went to a friend's BBQ in my little neck of the woods in Los Angeles and ate hotdogs, burgers, potato salad, popcorn and had a great time.

I didn't have time this year to create a new 4th July Range, but I do still have a few pieces from last year (post here) which I re-photographed for my portfolio (it's here, but hasn't yet been updated!). Don't miss these realistic little foods at my online Hummingbird Miniatures shop here.

Stay tuned for more cakes and some Mexican food coming soon... ;)

Independence Day Cake 2013

What's a 4th of July picnic without cake? This one's in one inch scale, handmade by me from polymer clay and looks a lot prettier and more realistic in real life. :) It has strawberries and blueberries on top. You can find it at my online Hummingbird Miniatures Etsy shop. There's only one so get it before it's gone!

Happy Independence Day!

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all having a blast this 4th! I am about to head out and buy chips and dip for a 4th July BBQ here in California.

I have listed some 4th July items at my online Hummingbird Miniatures Etsy shop, so if you're celebrating it in your miniature world then grab a burger or hot dog in one inch scale.

Don't miss the 'making of' photos of this range here, and the previous post showing the final photos here.

My Workspace - 4th July II

Hope you caught the last post (here) about my 4th of July food or saw it on the Hummingbird Miniatures Facebook Page here.... well here's part 2!

As you can see I have been busily adding condiments, pickles, fries, chips, onions etc to the plates. I have also created a realistic watermelon (note that I will be uploading a TUTORIAL which I have written - 'How to Create realistic Watermelon in Miniature') and I also made an Independence Day cake!

Take a look through these quick snaps of my items in-the-making and then don't forget to look out for the finished miniatures for sale at my online Hummingbird Miniatures Etsy shop.

If you like what I do then why not show your support by liking the Facebook page and following this blog?! :) x
