Baked Lobster

In a seafood kind of mood... I made a couple of baked lobsters. Part of the Best of British Collection, as lobster has been held in high esteem in Britain for centuries and a notable part of our culinary identity. It surprised me to learn that it wasn't popular in America until fairly recently! Well in agreement with some other websites, Wikipedia says "American lobster was initially deemed worthy only of being used as fertilizer or fish bait, and it was not until well into the twentieth century that it was viewed as more than a low-priced canned staple food."

So here's my lobster in one inch scale, on a bed of mixed greens with lemon halves
(all made by me of course!) ;) You can find one on my shop here. This could be used in a modern / Victorian / even Tudor setting. (Don't worry, we've had lemons in England since the 1500s)!
