Ready for Springtime Desserts?!

It's getting quite summery here in Los Angeles, and if you read my recent post (here) on my other blog you'll understand why I'm remarking on it!
I sat outside in my local bakery / cafe and watched the Oscars last night under the stars - it was so lovely and mild.

So all this is putting me in the mood to make more springtime / summery desserts. I'll post some after I've shared Easter 2011 with you. Until then, here's a look back at some from 2010. :)

A Romantic Treasury to share!

Hi everyone,
I made a pretty Valentine's treasury on Etsy (for those that don't know what this is... it's a collection of theme-related handmade items on the best online marketplace for handmade and vintage sellers)! It's the first treasury I've ever made. I included some sellers I absolutely love, such as Garden of Whimsy, Burlap and Blue and Pure Fusion Make-up and I also included two of my Valentine's items :)

It's worth having a look at just for Garden of Whimsy - I really LOVE her hair accessories!

Box of Heart Cookies

These are tiny little box tins of Valentine Cookies in various shapes and sizes and decorated with red and pink icing and sprinkles! The box itself is only 2cm x 2 cm.

Battenberg Cake - made with love!

No cake is more British than a frivolous Battenberg cake at any afternoon tea! Well I've made one that's a bit special as I've handmade it with Valentine's Day in mind. It's pink and chocolate cake, decorated with a row of tiny candy hearts. Only 1.4 cm in length so a pretty dainty and detailed cake which I am really pleased with. You can find it here

I HEART this packaging!

I went into Micheal's Arts and Crafts' (brilliant craft shop in America) and found these fabulous heart shaped boxes which I'm now using to package the items I sell of my Valentine's 2011 Range! Aren't they cute? And they're pretty sturdy too.
