My Workspace - 4th July II

Hope you caught the last post (here) about my 4th of July food or saw it on the Hummingbird Miniatures Facebook Page here.... well here's part 2!

As you can see I have been busily adding condiments, pickles, fries, chips, onions etc to the plates. I have also created a realistic watermelon (note that I will be uploading a TUTORIAL which I have written - 'How to Create realistic Watermelon in Miniature') and I also made an Independence Day cake!

Take a look through these quick snaps of my items in-the-making and then don't forget to look out for the finished miniatures for sale at my online Hummingbird Miniatures Etsy shop.

If you like what I do then why not show your support by liking the Facebook page and following this blog?! :) x

Happy Independence Day!

...a day late! I hope you all had a wonderful time yesterday. I really enjoyed it (so much so in fact that I haven't had the time until now to touch base with my computer). Saw the fireworks display over the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Amazing. Though not nearly as impressive a fireworks display as the one at Alexandra Palace, London for Bonfire Night. :)

Baking for the 4th!

With Independence Day on the way I've made some fun 4th of July cakes and patisserie chocolates. I only made 3 Limited Edition Independence Day cakes and 1 has already sold, so click here if you're keen not to miss out! There are also some chocolate Statues of Liberty and the photos don't really show it but the bases they're on are really pretty glitter card stock. Great for a fancy patisserie display and after all she's French-made!

In case you missed it, my 4th of July BBQ and picnic foods post is here.
Everything is one inch (1:12) scale and handmade by me from polymer clay.

Hi everyone!
Independence Day is looming... hope everyone has some fabulous plans! I can't wait to see the fireworks myself. I've made an array of BBQ and picnic foods and some sweet 4th of July items as well. I'll share just the miniatures from the grill for today. :) All one inch (1:12) scale and handmade by me from polymer clay. Some items are limited edition and made in small numbers, so get them while they're hot! My online store is here.
