More Miniature Food Jewelry

Have you seen the brand new Mini Food Jewelry items now listed at my online store?!

Here's a quick glimpse. People kept requesting Gingerbread Men so I now have two kinds of gingerbread men earrings, a gingerbread man ring and a gingerbread man pendant... so it proves I do listen to people's requests!

A Pink Wedding Cake for a Blushing Bride

A friend just brought to my attention that I haven't blogged about my Pink Ladurée Wedding Cake yet! So here goes...

You've seen my Ivory Laduree Wedding Cake, and now here's my fabulously, frivolously French Pink Ladurée Wedding Cake which is about as near a replica as I could make of the iconic Ladurée version.
It took me many days and hours to ice this cake by hand, add all the little pink flowers, silver balls and sugared almonds. Unlike the ivory wedding cake, this one has the Ladurée patisserie label on the top.

It is 1/12 (one inch) scale and available at my online shop right now.

And here's the original Ladurée Pink Wedding Cake from the Ladurée website.

Wedding Cakes now listed

You can now find my Laduree Wedding Cakes on my online Etsy store.

They took me days and days to make, as both have hand piped icing, sugared almonds, tiny flowers and sit on Laduree cake boards, just like the real deals.

These cakes are 1/12 th the size (one inch scale) and handmade by myself out of polymer clay.

Enjoy!

Mini Food Jewelry Hits California!

Hi everyone,
I absolutely meant to blog about this yesterday but was swept away with things to do - namely preparing for the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, California. I just got back - what a fantastic day that was! I had a stall right at the front entrance and sold much of my new Mini Food Jewelry Range! (Much of this new jewelry will be making its way to my online store very soon also...)

Take a sneak peak at what was made for this event: ~

Marie Antoinette Parlour Cakes

Wow, I got some wonderful comments and emails about my sneak peek at these Versailles cakes at my previous post here! I am so glad people seem to like them. I had a lot of fun making them.

Here are all the pictures. Now listed at my online shop! They are being sold as OOAK ('one of a kind'. I will not be repeating this cake range). I made dozens and dozens of rose petals and certainly don't feel like doing all that again... not to mention each individually handmade raspberry!

Handmade by me in 1/12 (one inch scale) with great attention to realism and detail.

My favourite photo (trying to emulate the one below!)

And finally the cake range which is for purchase, pictured with a match. (No stands included).

Inspiration from Versailles!

Recently I got all excited about the film 'Marie Antoinette' (2006) - not because I like the film (which is among the most boring I've ever seen), but because I love the sets, costumes and of course the use of Laduree cakes.

So I've made an array of French cakes and desserts which I'll share with you very soon. Before that I'd love to show you my inspiration!

Here is a sneak peek at my new and upcoming Marie Antoinette Parlour Cake Range. Handmade by me in 1/12 (one inch) scale. Available soon at my online store.

And the movie still which inspired it.

Here's a fun Easter video about my Hummingbird Miniature Easter 2011 dollhouse miniature range. And scroll past that for photos as well. Oh, and don't miss the Easter promotion happening over at Pixie Dust Miniatures.... :)
